Carolyn Balousek

Carolyn was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  She moved to Seattle in 2007 and has been a Mercer Island resident for over 13 years.  She is currently working at Google as a recruiter in the Seattle office and has worked in a variety of sales and staffing roles there since 2003.  Prior to working at Google, she worked at several advertising/branding agencies in Los Angeles and San Francisco.  Carolyn has her B.A. in Psychology from UCLA.  She and her husband have three children and own a local eyeglass business, Market Optical, which has four locations in the Seattle, Bellevue and Boise area.  In our local community, Carolyn is involved with Pitch Your Peers Seattle and is an active volunteer at Lakeridge and IMS.  When she isn't at her kids' sporting events, she enjoys taking her dog to the local parks (Pioneer Park and Wildwood are her favorites), watching MLB baseball, and is always up for a good cup of coffee!
