Emily Ferrari

Board Secretary

Emily grew up in Southern California before leaving the sunshine to continue a family tradition of attending the University of Washington, where she earned a degree in Political Science. She has been a dedicated Mercer Island resident since 2004, where she and her husband, Dominic, raised their two daughters.

Emily has built most of her career in Human Resources and currently works at Symetra as a Lead Project Manager. She is highly skilled in communication, change management, and project leadership, with a strong track record of guiding teams through complex initiatives.

Deeply committed to her community, Emily has been an active volunteer on Mercer Island for many years, particularly through her children’s schools and activities. She served as President of the Parent Association and as a member of the School Commission at St. Monica Catholic School. She also served as President of the National Charity League. In addition, Emily has contributed her time on the boards of the Mercer Island Schools Drama program and the Mercer Island Girls Basketball program, and previously led Girl Scout troops.

Emily’s passion for Mercer Island and her long-standing commitment to service reflect her dedication to strengthening the community. She is excited to continue giving back as a member of the Mercer Island Community Fund Board.
